Original Article: Parkview Baptist punter Wing commits to LSU

NewOrleans.Com/Sports has learned that punter Brad Wing, a transfer student from Australia, has committed to LSU.  Wing’s verbal to head coach Les Miles makes it 25 for the recruiting class of 2010.

Wing, who stands 6′3, has averaged over 41 yards per punt this season and has impressive hang time on his punts.  He has great bloodlines as his father, David, punted in the NFL.

Parkview Baptist faces Notre Dame (Crowley) in the Louisiana Class 3A state championship game this Friday night in the Louisiana Superdome.

Wing is expected to be the heir apparent to current Tiger punter Derek Helton, who has one year of eligibility remaining.

LSU now has 11 in-state commitments for the class of 2010.
