Coming off of a huge game in a win over Destrehan, East St. John junior wide receiver D’haquille Williams has take over as the state’s top receiver through eight weeks of the regular season.

Williams has 38 catches for 918 yards and 15 touchdowns for Larry Dauterive’s Wildcats.

Lutcher’s Jarvis Landry is fourth in the state with 53 catches for 899 yards and 12 scores. Ellender’s Jermaine Johnson is sixth with 37 catches for 812 yards and eight touchdowns.  
After being held to just 21 yards on 22 carries by Franklinton, Pearl River senior running back James Gillum dropped from first to fourth in the state in rushing with 196 carries for 1,603 yards and 30 touchdowns.

Hahnville’s Alfred Blue is eighth in rushing with 177 carries for 1,233 yards and 24 touchdowns while Donaldsonville’s Bryant Dunn is tenth with 132 carries for 1,202 yards.

In passing, Lutcher’s Gavin Webster ranks sixth in the state. He has completed 128 of 187 passes for 1,939 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Gillum still leads the state in scoring with 188 points while Blue is third with 156 points. Dunn is seventh with 122 points.
